An introduction to the aesthetic principles and practical methods actors use to bring life to characters in plays. Special attention is given to themes of healthy vs. unhealthy personal, family, and social relationships and their critical examination through the active inquiry of rehearsal. 3 hours lecture. A course in the principles and methods employed by directors, designers, and actors to comprehend dramatic literature as scripts for theatrical performance. 3 hours lecture. (009513)
