The Certificate in Land Use and Environmental Planning is valuable to geography majors and other students who are interested in urban or environmental planning and related fields such as resource management and rural economic development. The certificate can be taken in connection with a geography or other degree, or as a standalone certificate.
Grading Requirement
All courses taken to fulfill program course requirements must be taken for a letter grade except those courses specified by the department as credit/no credit grading only.
Some courses require a minimum grade to progress in the program. Minimum grade requirements, including those listed on course requisites, are considered graduation requirements.
A grade point average of 2.5 must be earned for courses required for the certificate. A grade of C or higher must be earned in each course required of the certificate program.
