Electrical Construction Minor
Total Units Required: 23-24
Electrical construction is a field that merges knowledge and skills of electrical engineering with those of the construction management program. Graduates contribute to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, electrical generating facilities such as solar farms, and other connections to the national electrical grid.
The energy and contracting industries need significantly more graduates as the country increases its generation of electricity from alternate energy sources, the electrification of the built environment, and to meet the growing demand for residential and industrial solar installations and charging stations for electric vehicles.
