The Certificate in Literary Editing and Publishing is designed to provide foundational knowledge and experience in the professional practices of literary editing and publishing. Students in the program work on the publication of the Watershed Review, participate in the production of chapbooks, hone their creative writing skills across a variety of genres, and complete an internship.
This certificate provides training in editing, copyediting, selection procedures and standards, publishing procedures, graphics, printing technologies, social networking, and web design marketing.
Grading Requirement
All courses taken to fulfill program course requirements must be taken for a letter grade except those courses specified by the department as credit/no credit grading only.
A GPA of 2.5 is required for all courses taken for the certificate.
