Course Requirements for the Certificate
The following courses, or their approved transfer equivalents, are required of all candidates for this certificate.
Students who complete this program will be awarded a degree in chemistry, which will be certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS), as well as an ACS certificate awarded by California State University, Chico. ACS requirements rarely change, but interested students should verify requirements with the chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Current requirements include either: Completion of a BS in chemistry or biochemistry with at least four units from the following list of courses:
