Learning Outcomes Relationships
PLO 1: Apply intersectional feminist, queer, and transgender theories to explain how gender and sexuality shape everyday life, culture, institutions, histories, and communities.
PLO 2: Understand how gender and sexuality shape and are shaped by race, class, indigeneity, disability, nation, and culture.
PLO 3: Analyze histories, community formation, and movements committed to feminist, transgender, and racial justice, connecting past to present and local to transnational contexts.
PLO 4: Critically interpret policies, media, science, and health discourses about bodies, genders, and sexualities; assess how knowledge production shapes power, opportunities, access, and policy.
PLO 5: Design and conduct empowering and socially conscious research using appropriate qualitative, archival, community-based, and/or interdisciplinary methodologies, while practice reflexivity, reciprocity, accountability and ethical engagement with constituent/affected communities.
PLO 6: Communicate effectively for diverse audiences through clear, well-researched, and persuasive writing, visual cultures, social media, and presentations across academic, professional, and public genres.
