Educational Technology and Distance Learning Certificate

The program goal for the postbaccalaureate Certificate in Educational Technology and Distance Learning is to identify digital and academic access barriers—geography, economics, infrastructure, experience with learning technologies, etc.—and potential solutions for both general and special education.
Course Requirements for the Certificate
The following courses, or their approved transfer equivalents, are required of all candidates for this certificate.
There are no course prerequisites for admission to this certificate program. A teaching credential is recommended but not required. Six units (SPED 664 and SPED 671) may transfer to the MA in Education. Three units may transfer from a credential or master's program to the certificate (SPED 664 or SPED 671).
To qualify for admission to the program, students must meet all University and departmental standards, policies, and procedures, including:
An acceptable bachelor's degree.
An undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0 in the last 60 units.
An application on file with the Office of Graduate Studies.
