The Minor in Mathematics Education is designed for liberal studies majors—but open to students from any major—who are interested in teaching math to children through grade 9 in a single-subject classroom.
Most students who complete the minor go on to a one-year Multiple Subject Credential program. This coursework also prepares you to apply for a Supplementary Authorization in Introductory Mathematics, which can be added to your credential after completing the program.
