The Certificate in Data Science provides students with the technical skills to extract different types and quantities of data from multiple sources, create visualizations, build and interpret predictive models, and build data products for the information consumer to use under a background of responsible and ethical data management. The certificate is offered through both the Computer Science and Mathematics and Statistics departments.
Students must consult with a program advisor before applying for admission to the program.
Course Requirements for the Certificate
The following courses, or their approved transfer equivalents, are required of all candidates for this certificate. A grade of C or higher is required in each course of the certificate program.
