The Minor in Art Studio gives students the opportunity to take courses in studio art and provides experience in the fundamentals and principles of art. Students completing this minor will develop their critical thinking, visual literacy, and problem-solving abilities. An art studio minor enhances students’ career outlook by providing them with a skillset in demand in a variety of professions in the media, arts, culture, service, and education industries.
Course Requirements for the Minor
The following courses, or their approved transfer equivalents, are required of all candidates for this minor.
With advisor approval, students may fulfill up to three of the nine units with ARTH 110, ARTH 120, ARTH 130, or ARTH 150. Students should carefully select lower-division courses which may be prerequisites for intended upper-division electives.
