The Minor in Latin American Studies explores the diverse countries and cultures of Latin America through an interdisciplinary lens. Students acquire basic proficiency in Spanish and an understanding of the traditions and trends that influence the region. The minor is a valuable complement to majors in agriculture, anthropology, geography, business, history, international relations, political science, and Spanish.
Students are encouraged to participate in study abroad opportunities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, and Uruguay.
