The Minor in Mathematics Education is designed for students of any major who are interested in teaching mathematics to children in K-12. The minor offers multiple coursework pathways, customizable to the student’s major and interests.
Depending on their career goals, most students who complete the minor continue on to a one-year credential program, earning either a multiple-subject teaching credential with a supplemental authorization in introductory mathematics or a single subject teaching credential in foundational mathematics.
